Mujerazo Spotlight
Every week, we’ll be featuring an inspiring Latina from our comunidad because we all bloom when we see each other.
Meet Krishna Saavedra, a 39-year founder of Mixed Fitness Yoga Studio based in Cochabamba, Bolivia
What's a challenge you've overcome that shaped who you are today?
Being an immigrant as a child, then returning to my country and not knowing the language or customs—I felt out of place in both worlds.
What does living “sin límites” mean to you?
Sin límites, for me, means having confidence in myself and letting go of the limits I’ve placed on myself.
What’s one lesson you wish every Latina knew sooner?
You are stronger than you think. Most limits are just in your head. Take up space and put yourself first.
How are you building your own version of riqueza (wealth, joy, freedom)?
Through manifestation, hard work, and by putting my happiness before anything else.
What’s a moment where you chose to bloom instead of shrink?
Every day, I choose to work on myself and bloom. It’s a process and a daily challenge. I’ve made the choice to be happy and successful—no matter what.
Who or what inspired you to start your sin límites journey?
My dad. He’s the inspiration and example I live by every single day.
What’s one piece of advice you'd give a younger you (or another Latina starting out)?
Take your time. Enjoy the journey.
What are you most proud of in your journey so far?
Looking back and being proud of the woman I’ve become.
Finish this sentence: I am a Latina Sin Límites because…
I am a woman, mother, sister, wife, and daughter. I am a Latina. I am an environmental activist. I am a feminist. I am part of a community and an ancestry of incredible Latinas.
